Congratulations to our state qualifiers Alisha Carpenter, Adrianna Tupolo, Adrianne Tupolo, Samantha Neil, and Brylie Biehl, who are headed to the WIAA State Track & Field Championships at Mount Tahoma High School this weekend! In classic Bulldog fashion, the athletes were sent off to the big competition with the band playing and surrounded by an amazing show of support from their fellow students, teachers, coaches, administrators, district staff, and family members. Great way to start the day, witnessing the unity that exists in our district as everyone gathered to support these students and their success. Go get 'em, Bulldogs! We're so proud of you.

⛳ Congratulations to NMHS golfers who competed at the state championship last week. Mari Morris placed 11th overall. Jackson Bergdahl represented North Mason in the boys' division. Congratulations to these athletes and coaches on making it to the state championship. We are so proud of you!

🚒 Students in Ms. Kidd's 6th grade science class were visited by Frefighters Henry and Lechner from North Mason Fire. It was a great opportunity for students to learn first hand from local first responders about wildfires -- how they are caused and how they can be prevented, climate change, and the firefighting profession. Ms. Kidd really appreciated the classroom visit and shared, "We loved having them in for now the 2nd year in a row and hope to continue our partnership." Thank you, Ms. Kidd, for sharing this glimpse into your classroom, and thank you to Firefighters Henry and Lechner for taking the time to make an impact on our students. We appreciate all you do!

🐳🐬🐟🐠🐡 Fair Harbor Field Lab Marine Biology 🦈🐙🐚🐋🦑 Ms. Landers' Marine Biology students from NMHS brought hands-on science to Fair Harbor through an engaging field experience. In collaboration with the Case Inlet Fisheries Task Force (https://www.caseinletfish.com/), students conducted a variety of scientific investigations, including surface and deep-water quality testing, Secchi disk transparency analysis, zooplankton net sampling, and microscopic plankton observation. They also utilized an underwater camera to explore aquatic environments and practiced knot-tying techniques used in salmon netting. A highlight of the day was the successful capture of a Comb Jelly, belonging to Phylum Ctenophora. An additional piece of exciting news to add on to this field trip information comes from Principal Hadfield about the arrival of the Salmon Net Pens (see photos). The Net Pens will be placed at the marina next year and utilized in the CTE pathways of Aquaculture, Advanced Robotics (with an underwater focus), and Marine Biology. Thank you Ms. Landers and Principal Hadfield, for sharing the students' experience on this field trip and for shining a light on the exciting opportunities available to our students through the robust CTE program offered in the district.

🥏🏀Tupolo Twins Signing Day Adrianna and Adrianne Tupolo, fondly known as 'A' and 'E' around North Mason, celebrated with family, friends, coaches, and staff on their signing day, committing to continue their academic and sporting careers at the next level. Adrianna has committed to Central Washington University where she will compete on the track & field team, and Adrianne has committed to Umpqua College in Oregon where she will play basketball. This Saturday, the NMHS Marching Band & Color guard will be performing in the Bremerton Armed Forces Day Parade.  The parade starts at 10AM and travels through downtown Bremerton.  Come on out and support your Marching Bulldogs as they represent all of Mason county at this event.  Go Bulldogs!!!

The NMHS Career Center took sixteen students on a field trip to Bates Technical College to explore the many different career paths available. Students delved into careers in fire and emergency medical services, barbery, construction, welding, auto body, and much more! They also received bonus free haircuts from students enrolled in the barber program. Good timing! Speaking of timing -- there is still time to enroll for the Fall quarter at Bates Technical College. This is just one of many field trips the Career Center has organized for students to explore the multitude of career paths available to them through post-secondary education career training.

💙Recognizing Courage💙 The trait of courage is being recognized in Jill Lowe, Pam Pettingill, Clarissa Rinehold, and Lori Johnson by the Director of Transportation, Maurine Simons. 🥎 The NMHS fastpitch team had a special guest join them to throw out the first pitch at yesterday's game. Before stepping up to the mound, Superintendent Rosenbach got some quick tips from Coach Youngberg as well as high-fives and encouragement from the team. After throwing a convincing toss over home plate, the team presented her with a signed ball as a commemorative keepsake.

NMHS students toured Clover Park Technical College to explore programs available in the areas of dental assisting, health care, esthetics, automotive, manufacturing, construction, CAD, computer programming and more. The orientation tour included many hands on activities, providing students with an in-depth experience that illustrated the full range of innovative educational opportunities available to them. Thank you to the NMHS Career Center for sharing this student experience with our community!

💙 Recognizing Courage 💙 As part of the building administrator appreciation series, Principal Klusman would like to highlight Alex Sanquist, who "courageously took on the role of music teacher at Belfair Elementary for the '25-'26 school year and we are so excited for him."
